Little Yeti

How about a cute card for a winter birthday?

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  I used a metal die from Jaded Blossom for the snowflake mat and the blue patterned mat.

The little Yeti is a cut file from Lettering Delights.  I used a stamp from Peachy Keen for the face.  I added glossy accents to the eyes of the kid and also on the teeth of the monster costume.

The icicle border and the sentiment are also from Jaded Blossom.  The icicles are a metal die.  I covered them with glossy accents and also sprinkled a little glitter on them so they would sparkle.  I finished off the card with some purple gems.

On Fire!

Here is a fun birthday card for someone who loves dragons!

It is a z-fold card made from white card stock.  I then layered the card with black and flame card stock.

The dragon is from SVG Cutting Files, but it was from a past blog hop and is no longer available.  I covered his eyes, claws, and tail spikes with glossy accents.  His wings are covered in crackle accents and his orange horns on his head are covered in Stickles.  I also used some Distress Ink around the edges of the grey for added depth.  His head is adhered with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiments are stamped.  The one in the bottom corner is from My Favorite Things and the one in the mat is from Jaded Blossom.  I also used a metal die from Jaded Blossom for the white mat.  I finished off the card with some sequins.

Unbelievable Creatures

Jaded Blossom just did its release last week, and it is my favorite, so I wanted to play!  I made six cards using different fantasy creatures.

The cards are 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  I used a die from Jaded Blossom to cut the patterned mats and also the embossed labels.  The labels were then embossed using a Darice Embossing folder.

I used one of the new dies from Jaded Blossom for the labels on which I stamped my sentiments.  The sentiments themselves came from Lawn Fawn.  All the fantasy creatures are from Jaded Blossom, all are from the new release except the unicorn.  I adhered the sentiment labels and images with foam tape.  I also accented the cards with Stickles, glossy accents, white gel pen, and Wink of Stella.

Fairy Birthday

I made three quick feminine fairy birthday cards today.

All three are 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of black card stock for the card base.  The white mat is 5 1/4"x4" and the small colored mat is 3 3/4"x2 1/2."

I used three different Distress Inks, in the particular color I wanted, to create each colored mat.

The fairies are all from SVG Cuts.  I wanted all three to be glittered, and I achieved that in three different ways.  The first one (pink) was glittered by using Stickles.  The second one (green) was glittered with glitter.  The third one (purple) was glittered by using glitter card stock.

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.

Droid Girl

I have a coworker who will be leaving for a new job.  Next week is her last week, so I thought I would make a card for everyone to sign for her last day.  She is a bit of a geek, like me, so I thought this would be a fun card for her.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and the mat is 5 1/4"x4."  I used dies from Jaded Blossom for the card mat, planet, and star.  The planet is embossed using a Tim Holtz embossing folder.

The little girl dressed in an R2-D2 dress is from SVG Cutting Files.  I used a face stamp from Peachy Keen.  I then added some white gel pen accents and used some chalk on her cheeks.

I thought she need a little something extra, so I tied some baker's twine into a bow for her hair.

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

Unicorn Fantasy

Here is a fun fantasy inspired birthday card for you today:

I used stamps and metal dies to create the images and elements of the card.  The images are colored using Chameleon markers.

The unicorn is adhered with foam tape for some added dimension.

I added Stickles to the hooves, horn, and star and Wink of Stella to the hair for a touch of glitter and sparkle.  The sentiment is heat embossed.

The stars in the corners also have Wink of Stella on them.  I also added some white gel pen doodling to the purple scallop mat.
