Little Yeti

How about a cute card for a winter birthday?

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  I used a metal die from Jaded Blossom for the snowflake mat and the blue patterned mat.

The little Yeti is a cut file from Lettering Delights.  I used a stamp from Peachy Keen for the face.  I added glossy accents to the eyes of the kid and also on the teeth of the monster costume.

The icicle border and the sentiment are also from Jaded Blossom.  The icicles are a metal die.  I covered them with glossy accents and also sprinkled a little glitter on them so they would sparkle.  I finished off the card with some purple gems.

Narly

I just had to craft the other day and made this fun birthday card!

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  The plaid mat is cut with a metal die from Jaded Blossom and I matted it with a dark blue card stock that is 1/8" larger.

The wave pieces were also cut with a metal die from Jaded Blossom.  I adhered one of the sets of waves with foam tape.  I also used Stickles on the wave crests for some shimmer.

The narwhal is from Lettering Delights.  I used a stamp from Peachy Keen for the face, then covered the eyes with glossy accents.

The sentiment is also from Jaded Blossom.  I finished off the card with a bunch of sequins.

On Fire!

Here is a fun birthday card for someone who loves dragons!

It is a z-fold card made from white card stock.  I then layered the card with black and flame card stock.

The dragon is from SVG Cutting Files, but it was from a past blog hop and is no longer available.  I covered his eyes, claws, and tail spikes with glossy accents.  His wings are covered in crackle accents and his orange horns on his head are covered in Stickles.  I also used some Distress Ink around the edges of the grey for added depth.  His head is adhered with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiments are stamped.  The one in the bottom corner is from My Favorite Things and the one in the mat is from Jaded Blossom.  I also used a metal die from Jaded Blossom for the white mat.  I finished off the card with some sequins.

Alma's Name Sign

My step-sister gave birth to a little girl 6 weeks after I had my son.  She and her husband did her nursery in a woodland theme.  I made this name sign for her to go with that theme.

The background of this scene was made with five different colors of Distress Ink.

The deer and trees are images that I converted to cut files using the Design Space software.  The buck and doe are both covered with some Wink of Stella for a subtle shimmer.  The fawn is covered in glitter and glossy accents.  It is also adhered with foam tape.

Her name is cut with the "Animal Antics" Cricut cartridge.  I covered the pink layer with glitter and glossy accents to match the fawn.

Spidey Senses

Here is a card that I managed to make just the other day.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  The spiderweb mat is cut with a Jaded Blossom die and I cut the blue mat to be 1/8" larger.

Spiderman is an svg that I found on the internet somewhere.  I used foam tape to adhere him to the card for some dimension.  His eyes are covered in glossy accents.

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom and is cut into the speech bubble with a Lawn Fawn die.  I finished the card off with some sequins.

Miscellaneous Cards

While I have managed to eke out some time to craft since my son's birth, I have't had much time to blog those crafts.  It seems to be one or the other these days!  So, here are a couple of cards I have made in the past couple of months.

This little cowgirl card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of ivory card stock.  The striped mat was cut with a metal die from Jaded Blossom and the label shape was from an SVG Cuts cutting file.

The cowgirl is from Lettering Delights and her face is stamped from a Peachy Keen stamp.  I added some Stickles to her bows and the horse's reins and glossy accents to her eyes.

The sentiment is stamped and is from Jaded Blossom.

The gnome card is also 5 1/2"x4 1/4" but is made from white card stock.  Both the striped mat and the mushroom mat were cut with a Jaded Blossom die.  I then trimmed the mushroom piece and added a small red strip of card stock.

The gnome was stamped, using a Paper Smooches stamp, on white card stock and cut out with the Brother Scan 'n' Cut.  I then colored him in with colored pencils.  He is mounted in a frame that was cut with dies from Jaded Blossom.

The sentiment and mushroom are also both from Paper Smooches.  The mushroom was cut with the Brother Scan 'n' Cut as well, and also colored with colored pencils.  The card was finished with some blue and white sequins.

Bee Family Frame

My husband's birthday is coming up at the end of the month.  I already got him one large gift to cover all the events he will be missing, but I wanted to be able to send him something while he is away.  So, I made a picture frame and put a picture of the three of us in it for him to enjoy.

I used the "insert shape" feature in Cricut Design Space to create all the hexagons.  I sized them at 2" and cut them out of three different patterns of card stock.  I then covered the frame with them.  Once the frame was covered I put a layer of matte Mod Podge on the frame to seal it.

The beehive is from SVG Cutting Files and all the bees are from Lettering Delights.

The words are from the Cricut.  Bee is from "Live Simply" and family is from "Dr. Checkup."

Baby Thank You

Last week I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.  He is now 6 days old and I managed to get some time in the craft room to make a quick card to send to the amazing hospital staff.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  I cut mats from different patterned card stock.

The stork and baby image is from the "9 Months" Cricut cartridge.  I used Peachy Keen face stamps for the eyes of both the baby and the stork.

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.

Some Bunny Special

This time I decided to use the tag feature on the "Wrap It Up" Cricut cartridge to create this cute gift tag.  It would work for a birthday, Mother's Day, or even Easter.  The back is blank to personalize it for whatever event I want to use it for.

I cut the white layer twice and on one of them I cut out just the fence.  I then embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked it a little with some Distress Ink.

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.  I added a twine tie at the top and also a twine bow.

The bunny and grass are both metal dies from Jaded Blossom.  I finished it off with some gem flowers.

Worm Birthday Wishes

I used the card feature from the "Wrap It Up" cartridge today to make this fun apple shaped card.

I made my card and cut the green portion twice.  I then trimmed off just the leaf to give me a second one.  I glued the center down and used a double layer of foam tape at both edges to pop it up.  The apple and the leaf are both inked with Distress Inks.

I decided to have a cute little worm coming out of the bite in the apple.  He is an svg from Lettering Delights.  I inked his lightest layer up with a light layer of Distress Ink.

The tag is a metal die from Jaded Blossom.  I stamped on a sentiment from Paper Smooches.  I wrapped the stem with some twine and used the same twine to tie a bow to put on my tag.  The bottom of the tag is adhered with foam tape for a little dimension.

Music to My Ears

I decided to use "Wrap It Up" again on today's project.  This time I made a gift card holder.

The gift card holder and its mats were made with Jaded Blossom dies.  I also used stamps from them for the gift card grid and all the sentiments.

The headphones are the cut I used from "Wrap It Up" and the music notes are from "Groovy Times."  I used twine to create a cord for the headphones.  I also added some glossy accents to the red parts of the headphones.

White Wedding

As I was looking through the images on the "Wrap It Up" Cricut cartridge yesterday, when I made the treat bag, I saw this bride image and wanted to make a wedding card using it.

The card is a z-fold card and is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I made the card base of white card stock and cut the heart patterned card stock 1/4" smaller for both the top and inner mats.

I used a die from Jaded Blossom to cut the rectangles for the sentiments.  The outer sentiment is from My Craft Spot.  The inner sentiment is from a wooden stamp I have had in my stash for years.

I added some Stickles to the veil and sequins to the bouquet.  I also used some stick-on pearls for the the necklace.  I finished it off with an enamel heart in the corner.
